With a few of these archetypes already in the game, the options for a sixth class are limited, but still equally exciting. Diablo 4's first season is unlikely to come with an additional class, but it's possible that within its first year, the game will become bigger - and thus call for a refreshing change of perspective through a new archetype becoming playable.
Since Diablo 4 only features five classes on launch, it's very likely that it will follow the footsteps of Diablo 3 and have additional ones further down the line, possibly tied to one of its seasons.
These archetypes are often expanded upon in various ways, including Diablo's focus on builds and loot progression, and Diablo 4 is no exception. One of the biggest staples of Diablo games is that they draw inspiration from the typical classes of fantasy RPGs, with the first entry in the series featuring the trio of Warrior, Rogue, and Sorcerer. Diablo as a franchise is not new to revisiting classic fantasy RPG imagery for its content, which is something Diablo 4 has already proven to be doing, only in a grittier fashion compared to its predecessor and going on to become the spiritual successor to Diablo 2, instead.
